Brigid Maher, Video Producer/Director
Brigid Maher is an assistant professor
in the School of Communication. She was previously from Columbia
College, Chicago, where she was artist in residence for three
years. She has directed film and theater productions in the
U.S., the West Bank and Oman, recently completing a documentary
about the underground artist King Vel Veeda and his legal
fight against Kraft Food Holdings. In addition, she wrote,
directed and produced the feature film, Adrift in the
Heartland, shot in Palestine and Chicago. She was recently
awarded a Fulbright to teach Broadcast Media in Lebanon this
spring.
